Our main warehouse is on 4.5 acres in Birmingham, AL in the heart of steel pipe manufacturers. We have access to most major ports in the U.S. and worldwide with a number of warehouses on call. Our yard is equipped with all the packaging and equipment handling tools necessary for shipping including 3 forklifts each capable of lifting 36,000 lbs.

Ocean Freight Logistics
Ocean Freight Logistics Services are the strength of our freight forwarding business. We offer a range of ocean freight logistics and we can provide in-house Bills of Lading.
GMI is a licensed and bonded Ocean Freight Forwarder with the Federal Maritime Commission (License Number: 4095NF), as well as a Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier (NVOCC).
The NVOCC designation allows us the additional benefit of being able to negotiate as a carrier for competitive rates and issue our own tariff, which is beneficial to companies with small or large projects in international locations.
Our Ocean Freight Logistics specialties are: containerized cargo, full container loads, less than a container loads, RO/RO, and break bulk. Based on our customers demands we determine the logistics behind the shipment based on the type of cargo they are shipping.
We can ship from door to door, port to door, port to port, or door to port. Our experienced logistics team will advise on each and every step of ocean freight shipments.
